The latest step toward rebuilding 75 timeshare units known as Estero Island Beach Club was achieved this week when 72% of the 2,200 owners voted in the affirmative. 51% was needed to move the rebuild forward. [read more]

The Local Planning Agency is making very important recommendations to the Fort Myers Beach Town Council regarding the rebuild of the island following Hurricane's Ian and Milton. 3 seats on that committee are up for appointment at the end of September. [read more]

The Big Carlos Pass Bridge on the south end of Fort Myers Beach will close to vehicles intermittently beginning 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, through 6 a.m. the following morning to allow crews to set bridge beams connecting the new bridge to Estero Island. [read more]
