On Tuesday, the Fort Myers Beach Town Council will consider whether or not to extend Suzie Bahan’s permit to operate a food truck and serve alcohol at 163 Old San Carlos. That permit is up for review and Suzie will be on BTR Saturday at 11:45AM to discuss. [read more]
 

In a final ruling filed Tuesday, Judge John Lanningham ruled that the Sun-N-Fun shipping containers on the old Liki Tiki restaurant property must be removed by March 1st. The owner of the business, Steve Larson plans to appeal the decision. [read more]
 

The Fort Myers Beach and Iona McGregor Fire Control Districts are conducting a study to determine whether a merger of the two districts would be beneficial to taxpayers. A community forum is being held on the issue, February 19th, 5PM at Margaritaville.  [read more]
 

On January 8th, the Fort Myers Beach Town Council gave owners of The Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina the first of 2 Yes votes needed to build a new 6-story 40-room boutique hotel across from the big resort. The 2nd public hearing and vote is Tuesday. [read more]
